Job summary

Acorns Children's Hospice Trust is seeking an Occupational Therapist to lead the development of AHP services across the organisation. You will line manage therapy teams across hospices and provide OT assessments and interventions for babies, children and young people with life-limiting conditions in hospice and community settings.

The role requires current HCPC registration and is part-time at 30 hours over four days, with duties spanning advice on posture, equipment and sensory needs, and

Qualifications

• HCPC registration is required.
• Degree or qualification in occupational therapy (OT).

Responsibilities

• Lead development and delivery of high-quality AHP services across the organisation.
• Lead and support the therapy team across the hospices.
• Provide line management to the therapy teams.
• Provide OT assessment, treatment and advice to babies, children and young people with life-limiting conditions in hospice and community settings.
• Advise care staff on OT goals, posture, equipment and sensory needs.
• Collaborate on a vision for the AHP programme to increase impact.
• Produce and evaluate qualitative and quantitative data to evidence quality of AHP services.
