Job summary

Acorns Children’s Hospice seeks an Occupational Therapist and Therapies Lead to shape and develop our therapy services across the organisation. You will lead the therapy teams across Walsall, Worcester and Birmingham, delivering high‑quality AHP services in hospice and community settings.

You will oversee OT assessment and intervention, collaborate on the AHP vision, and drive quality improvement through data. This part‑time role offers substantial impact and career development.

Qualifications

• Degree in Occupational Therapy or equivalent.
• HCPC registration is essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide line management to the therapy teams.
• Provide OT assessment, treatment, intervention and advice to babies, children, young people and their families living with life‑limiting and life‑threatening conditions in hospice and community settings.
• Advise on 24-hour postural management, equipment to support posture and independence in daily living and sensory needs.
• Collaborate to develop and communicate a vision for the AHP programme to increase voice, visibility and impact.
• Produce and evaluate qualitative and quantitative data to evidence the quality of AHP services.
