The Princess Alexandra Hospital NHS Trust seeks a band 7 occupational therapist to lead the integrated medicine OT team across six medical wards, supervising eleven staff alongside a band 7 physiotherapist. The role requires advanced clinical reasoning and entails teaching students on placement.

You will perform complex assessments for medical and neurology inpatients, develop goal-driven plans, and drive clinical governance and quality improvements while maintaining high professional standards.

Qualifikationen

• HCPC registration required.
• Senior/leadership experience in medical/neurology settings.
• Experience supervising staff and students.

Aufgaben

• Provide client-centred assessments for medicine and neurology patients, including complex cases.
• Lead and supervise occupational therapy staff within the medical team.
• Develop collaborative treatment plans with patients, carers and colleagues.
• Manage clinical and managerial caseloads with governance and quality assurance.
• Undertake risk assessments including moving, handling and home assessments.
