Job summary

The Princess Alexandra Hospital NHS Trust in Harlow is seeking a Band 6 Rotational Occupational Therapist to join our friendly team. You will work as an autonomous practitioner within the MDT, delivering high-quality, person-centred OT assessments and interventions to patients with complex needs, while developing leadership skills and clinical supervision opportunities.

Rotations span 9 months across Care of the Elderly, Critical Care, Surgery, Acute Medicine, Orthopaedics, ED and Frailty, with

Qualifications

• Registered Occupational Therapist with NHS Band 6 experience or equivalent.
• Evidence of leadership and mentoring in OT.
• Experience with complex patient presentations and MDT working.

Responsibilities

• Lead advanced OT assessment and treatment for inpatients and complex cases.
• Deputise for the team lead Occupational Therapist as needed.
• Develop and drive the OT service within the speciality with day-to-day management of junior staff.
• Coordinate patient discharges and liaise with community teams for safe transitions home.
