Job summary

HOK Consulting - Technical Recruitment Consultancy is seeking an experienced Lead Architect to head OT, IoT and Edge security for a Sheffield-based, hybrid role. You will shape secure architecture across smart buildings, legacy systems and third-party connections, ensuring IEC 62443 alignment and resilience.

You will produce diagrams and records, review designs for risks, and coordinate with Cybersecurity, Networks, Real Estate and suppliers to deliver robust, compliant solutions in complex

Qualifications

• Experience in OT, IoT, Edge or security architecture.
• Knowledge of IEC 62443, OT segmentation and industrial cybersecurity.
• Experience with smart buildings, legacy systems and third-party connectivity.
• Understanding of secure remote access, risk management and architecture governance.
• Ability to work with multiple technical teams and suppliers.

Responsibilities

• Define secure architecture patterns for OT, IoT, smart buildings and protective security.
• Design OT network segmentation, zoning and secure remote access solutions.
• Review and assure solution designs, identifying security risks and control gaps.
• Produce architecture diagrams, decision records and audit documentation.
• Collaborate with Cybersecurity, Networks, Real Estate and external suppliers.
