Job summary

Vantage Consulting in Reading is seeking a seasoned Lead OT Cyber Security Engineer to own the delivery of OT cybersecurity across automation projects. This hands-on role combines expertise in industrial automation, OT networks and cybersecurity to deliver secure solutions for clients across various sectors.

You will lead technical delivery, design secure OT network solutions, maintain risk assessments and documentation, apply IEC 62443 standards, support vulnerability management and contribute

Qualifications

• Experience delivering cybersecurity in OT/industrial automation.
• Knowledge of PLC, HMI, SCADA, drives and telemetry.
• Experience with industrial networking, TCP/IP, switches and firewalls.
• Understanding IEC 62443 and defence-in-depth.
• Experience across full project lifecycle from design to commissioning.
• Strong communication with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical delivery of OT cybersecurity in automation projects including PLC/HMI/SCADA.
• Design and implement secure OT networks with switches, firewalls and monitoring.
• Develop and maintain cybersecurity documentation such as risk assessments and diagrams.
• Apply standards (IEC 62443, NIS, UK guidance) and best practices.
• Support vulnerability management, patching and device hardening.
• Provide input into bids and proposals; manage cybersecurity scope with PMs.
• Support testing, commissioning and client handover of cybersecurity solutions.
• Stay up-to-date with OT cybersecurity standards and regulations.
