Job summary

IC24 is seeking a Lead Nurse / Advanced Practitioner to build and lead a coming-together clinical team across Brighton practices. You will shape the service, establish standards, and drive change with a focus on patient outcomes and governance.

You will mentor Practice Nurses and HCAs, develop pathways, and work across IC24 networks to share expertise while delivering high-quality, evidence-based care.

Qualifications

• Must be a First Level Registered Nurse with current NMC registration.
• Must have Non-Medical Prescribing qualification.
• Experience in General Practice, Primary Care or Urgent Care.
• Demonstrated clinical leadership and decision-making abilities.
• Experience mentoring or managing clinical teams.
• Knowledge of clinical governance, quality improvement and audit.
• A genuine interest in developing people and building high-performing teams.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Resilience, adaptability and confidence to lead through change.
• A proactive, organized and continuous-improvement mindset.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop Practice Nurses and Healthcare Assistants to build capability and culture.
• Set clinical standards and provide advanced assessment and care.
• Strengthen governance, audit, quality improvement and compliance.
• Lead change by implementing new ways of working and clinical pathways.
• Develop people through coaching, mentoring and development plans.
• Identify opportunities to improve patient outcomes and experience.
• Collaborate with IC24 teams across Sussex to share expertise.
