Job summary

Integrated Care 24 (IC24) in Brighton is seeking a Lead Nurse / Advanced Practitioner to build and lead our nursing and clinical workforce, shaping the future of primary care in the community. You will set clinical standards, drive governance, and lead transformational change across Sussex practices.

You’ll join a growing, purpose‑driven social enterprise, with opportunities to influence service design, develop people and deliver outstanding patient care in a dynamic, collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• First Level Registered Nurse with current NMC registration.
• Non‑Medical Prescribing qualification.
• Experience working within General Practice, Primary Care or Urgent Care.
• Strong clinical leadership and decision‑making skills.
• Experience supporting, mentoring or managing clinical teams.
• Understanding of clinical governance, quality improvement and audit.
• A proactive, organised and continuous‑improvement mindset.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the nursing and healthcare assistant workforce to deliver high‑quality care.
• Establish high clinical standards and a supportive learning culture.
• Collaborate with Practice Managers and Clinical Leads to implement strategic plans.
• Drive governance, audit, quality improvement and compliance.
• Lead change by implementing new ways of working and developing clinical pathways.
• Support professional development and succession planning for the team.
• Partner with the wider IC24 network to share expertise and resources.
