Job summary

HCRG Care Group in Surrey is seeking a Lead Nurse to lead the delivery of specialist respiratory care for children and young people with complex needs. The role combines advanced clinical practice with service development, partnership working and leadership across home, school and community settings.

You will lead a team of nurses, drive quality improvement and ensure safe, evidence-based care, working closely with multidisciplinary teams to support families in the community.

Qualifications

• Registered Children's Nurse with current NMC registration.
• Evidence of continuing professional development.
• Significant experience supporting children and young people with complex health needs.
• Highly specialist knowledge of paediatric respiratory care including long-term ventilation and tracheostomy care.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert clinical leadership for children and young people with complex respiratory needs.
• Lead and support a team of nurses, including supervision, workforce planning and development.
• Coordinate integrated care pathways across health, education and social care partners.
• Deliver clinical training, education and competency assessments.
• Drive service development, quality improvement and innovation initiatives.
• Champion best practice and ensure safe, effective service delivery.
