Job summary

HCRG Care Group is seeking a Lead Nurse for Children and Young People with complex respiratory needs to lead the Surrey-based Children's Community Nursing Service. You will provide expert clinical leadership, oversee long‑term ventilation and tracheostomy care, and drive safe, evidence‑based care across home, school and community settings.

Qualifications

You'll act as the lead practitioner for the service, supporting children and families across home, school and community settings while providing expert guidance to colleagues, partners and stakeholders. Working closely with multidisciplinary teams, you'll help shape and develop services that enable children to live safely, independently and confidently within their communities.As a**Lead Nurse**, you'll support and develop nursing colleagues, drive quality improvement initiatives and ensure the delivery of safe, effective and evidence-based care for children with complex and long-term health needs##### #### Main ResponsibilitiesAs **Lead Nurse**, you will provide expert clinical leadership for children and young people with complex respiratory needs, including those requiring long-term ventilation, tracheostomy care and highly specialised respiratory support. You'll assess, plan, implement and evaluate care, ensuring children and families receive coordinated, person-centred support across health, education and social care settingsYou will lead and support a team of nurses, providing professional and clinical supervision, workforce planning, recruitment, development and performance management.
