Job summary

HCRG Care Group is seeking a Lead Nurse for Children and Young People with complex respiratory needs to lead the Surrey-based Children's Community Nursing Service. You will provide expert clinical leadership, oversee long‑term ventilation and tracheostomy care, and drive safe, evidence‑based care across home, school and community settings.

Qualifications

• Registered Children's Nurse with current NMC registration.
• Evidence of continuing professional development.
• Significant experience supporting children and young people with complex health needs.
• Highly specialist knowledge of paediatric respiratory care, including long-term ventilation and tracheostomy care.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical leadership for children and young people with complex respiratory needs.
• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate care across home, school and community settings.
• Supervise and mentor Band 6 nurses; manage workforce development and performance.
• Coordinate integrated care pathways with partners across health, education and social care.
• Deliver training and competency assessments for carers, nurses and other professionals.
