Job summary

Suffolk GP Federation CIC is seeking a Lead Practice Nurse to lead and deliver nursing services across four Unity sites in Suffolk, with travel between Haverhill, Long Melford, Lavenham and Glemsford. You will manage the nursing team, drive training, and ensure BUP/quality standards meet CQC requirements.

The role requires established primary care nursing experience, strong leadership, and a commitment to continuous service improvement and staff development.

Qualifications

• Registered nurse with valid NMC registration and up-to-date practice.
• Proven experience in primary care.
• Experience in managing a nursing team.

Responsibilities

• Lead, manage and deliver a range of practice nursing services and be accountable for the nursing team on a day-to-day basis.
• Foster a learning environment, supporting the training and development of the nursing team.
• Lead on ensuring the nursing services are compliant with CQC and other regulatory requirements.
• Champion and lead quality improvement initiatives within the nursing service.

Suffolk GP Federation are excited to announce an excellent opportunity for a Lead Practice Nurse to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in delivering high-quality patient care whilst leading and supporting our dedicated primary care nursing team. This is a full time role, 37.5 hours per week, Monday - Friday based across the Unity sites: Haverhill, Long Melford, Lavenham and Glemsford. Travel between sites will be necessary. We're looking for someone with a passion for healthcare, strong general practice experience, and the ability to inspire and guide the team to excellence.   All applicants should have the following qualifications, registrations, skills and experience:
• You will need to be a registered nurse, with valid NMC registration and evidence of up-to-date practice
• You will need proven experience of working in primary care
• You will need experience in managing a team
