Job summary

Davies Technology Solutions (DTS) is seeking a Software Development Lead to blend hands-on engineering with people leadership. You will guide the squad’s software direction, ensure secure, observable, and reliable delivery, and partner with Architecture and Platform teams to drive architectural and operational excellence.

You will mentor engineers across .NET, React/TypeScript, and CI/CD pipelines, while shaping delivery plans, managing risks, and enabling production live operations.

Qualifications

• Substantial experience delivering production software with technical leadership.
• Experience owning complex technical decisions from requirements to live operation.
• Ability to lead through influence and coach engineers.
• Strong fundamentals in secure coding, maintainability, testing, observability, and resilience.
• Ability to make practical architectural decisions and set engineering standards.
• Excellent written and verbal communication to diverse stakeholders.
• Experience in iterative product-delivery environments and production support.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, test, and maintain secure, observable production software.
• Lead, coach, and mentor engineers through pairing and code reviews.
• Shape delivery plans with Product Owner and Delivery Manager.
• Provide technical direction with Architecture and Platform teams on CI/CD, security, and deployments.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business priorities into engineering outcomes.
• Establish engineering standards for source control, testing, and release readiness.
• Own technical assurance through reviews and automated controls.
• Support cloud-native deployments on Azure with Terraform for infrastructure changes.
