Job summary

United Lincolnshire Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust is seeking a dynamic midwife to join the maternity team at Lincolnshire. You will support an ambitious model of care delivering continuity of carer close to home via community hubs and offer leadership for junior colleagues within a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

Actively participate in the continuing development of the unit philosophy and provide care appropriate to the needs of the mother and baby.
Adhere to all standards and rules laid down by the NMC for Midwives.
Communicate effectively with women, families and colleagues within the multidisciplinary team to meet individual needs.
Provide leadership and support to junior staff and students; contribute to induction for new staff and the staff development review process.
Ensure adherence to ULHT protocols, policies and guidelines; contribute to ward protocols and risk management.
Lead and participate in clinical audits and standard setting; ensure research-based practice and implement new developments.
Share research findings and innovations with the unit by leading teaching sessions for the team; maintain professional development.
Advocate for women, families and junior staff.
