Chelsea and Westminster Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an experienced Community Midwifery Team Leader to oversee a team of midwives delivering antenatal, intrapartum and postnatal care in the community. The role emphasizes compassionate leadership, safeguarding safe, high-quality maternity care across our community services.

The post involves managing rosters for 24-hour coverage, monitoring activity, and providing autonomous clinical leadership.

Formación

Degree level or equivalent experience.
Registered Midwife.
NLS / Examination of the Newborn trained.
Evidence of other professional managerial qualifications.

Responsabilidades

Have delegated responsibility for 24-hr cover within the community midwifery service.
Monitor activity within your designated team and manage high activity and staffing issues as required.
Be an autonomous practitioner providing clinical leadership and expertise in all aspects of midwifery practice, which includes providing direct care to women.
Delegate clinical tasks to staff members on duty as appropriate e.g. care of complex cases, routine checking of equipment.
Facilitate the development of all staff including student midwives, junior medical staff and support workers through evidence-based teaching and empowerment.
Assess, develop, implement and evaluate the highest standards of care based on evidenced- based practice.
