Job summary

Qualifications

• Registered Midwife with NMC Part 10.
• Diploma in Midwifery.
• Recognised teaching qualification.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development.
• Experience with electronic fetal monitoring (EFM).
• Ability to evidence and apply research findings.

Responsibilities

• Participate in unit philosophy development and adapt practices for mother and baby.
• Adhere to NMC standards for Midwives.
• Communicate effectively with women, families and colleagues.
• Provide leadership and induction for new staff.
• Ensure adherence to ULHT policies and risk management.
• Lead clinical audits and implement standard setting.
• Share research and lead teaching sessions.
• Advocate for women, families and junior staff.
