Job summary

Ross-Shire Engineering Limited is seeking a Supervisor on a Fixed Term Contract at Coniston Wastewater Treatment Works. You will oversee construction squads and undertake site works, directing operatives and ensuring quality, safety and programme delivery.

The role requires time-served trade qualification, CSCS and SSSTS, a proven supervisory track record, and a full UK driving licence. You will liaise with other contractors, manage toolbox talks, QA documentation and data for health and safety

Qualifications

• Time served fully qualified in their relevant trade City & Guilds, MA or equivalent with relevant trade cards.
• Proven track record in a supervisory role.
• CSCS & SSSTS.
• Good knowledge of Quality, Environmental and Health & Safety processes/procedures.
• Ability to follow/interpret/explain technical instructions.
• Flexibility, common sense, and innovative thinking.
• Good interpersonal skills with an ability to work with, lead, and motivate teams of tradespeople under supervision.
• Full UK Driving Licence

Responsibilities

• Instruct, direct, control and allocate work to trade operatives and apprentices paying attention to quality, productivity and safety.
• Set out work as appropriate.
• Measure up for materials, respond to emergencies and changes in the work programme, acquire essential plant and equipment.
• In the absence of a Site Manager, liaise with other contractors on site.
• Carry out competence assessments and record data for Health & Safety stats.
• Ensure serviceability and security of all allocated plant and equipment.
• Where required manage toolbox talks, permits, review MS & RA.
• Assess tasks ensuring appropriate certification and equipment is available.
• Complete and deliver any required QA documentation.
