Job summary

Galliford Try seeks an experienced Mechanical Supervisor to lead mechanical installation on Affinity Water projects in the Rickmansworth region. You will ensure safe, on-time delivery and coordinate with project teams to support commissioning and takeover.

The role requires strong leadership, site management experience in water projects, and senior MEICA liaison skills; a valid MAP/SSSTS- or safety-related qualifications are essential. Flexible across sites within the region.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in the water industry.
• Proven site management of mechanical installations to takeover.
• Experience resolving client issues affecting progress.

Responsibilities

• Ensure site safety and progress of mechanical installation.
• Act as MAP where appointed and manage mechanical testing.
• Coordinate with MEICA/Commissioning teams and subcontractors.
• Review RAMS and ensure compliance with Asset Standards and WIMES.
• Support design on mechanical systems and integration with existing assets.
• Lead commissioning meetings and manage snagging until takeover.
