Job summary

OCS Group is seeking an experienced Mechanical Project Manager to lead energy sector projects such as district heating or energy centres. You will manage design and build work, coordinate on-site teams and subcontractors, and ensure delivery on time and within budget.

The role requires hands-on leadership, safety compliance, and close collaboration with design teams. Occasional travel between the main office and site is expected as projects progress.

Qualifications

• Experience managing design-and-build projects in energy or M&E sectors.
• Proven track record leading a team and delivering energy/M&E projects.
• Ability to prepare method statements, risk assessments and technical submissions.
• Thorough understanding of M&E works and construction processes.
• Ability to produce handover docs like O&M manuals and record drawings.
• Site health and safety leadership and zero-defects mindset.
• Willingness to travel between office and site.

Responsibilities

• Deliver energy sector projects on time and within budget.
• Oversee staff and subcontractors on-site with training and issue resolution.
• Lead progress meetings with stakeholders and customers.
• Ensure M&E systems are installed and commissioned correctly.
• Provide front-end design and preconstruction management where required.
• Maintain Health & Safety policies across projects and SMS.
• Prepare and update project programmes and procurement plans.
• Collaborate with design teams to ensure compliance.
• Report progress to senior management and support commercial with labour projections.
• Attend and chair client/site meetings; manage defect close-out duties.
