Job summary

Henley Chase is seeking an experienced Mechanical Project Manager to lead building services projects from tender handover through to commissioning and close-out. You will manage heating, cooling, ventilation, public health and decarbonisation schemes across various facilities, ensuring safe delivery and strong client liaison.

The role requires coordinating with electrical, controls, fire, fabric and civils teams, delivering programmes and procurement plans while maintaining commercial

Qualifications

• Relevant mechanical or building services qualification or demonstrable delivery experience.
• Experience managing mechanical installations or refurbishments from planning to commissioning.
• Ability to read technical drawings and understand heating/cooling/ventilation interfaces.
• Experience managing programmes, procurement lead times and supply interfaces.
• Commercial understanding of budgets, cash flow, and variations.
• Knowledge of RAMS, permits to work and asbestos awareness.
• Current SMSTS certification.
• Valid CSCS or ECS card for management responsibilities.
• Strong client communication and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in Excel and digital project records.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical building services projects from tender handover to commissioning.
• Coordinate with electrical, controls, fire, fabric and civils teams.
• Develop programmes and procurement schedules; manage look-ahead interfaces.
• Manage risk, RFIs, submittals and design approvals before procurement.
• Ensure safe delivery, budget control and client relationship management.
