Job summary
Baker Hughes is seeking a Lead Engineer - Mechanical for Customer Order Engineering in the Subsea Wellhead & Casing Solutions portfolio. You will lead engineering design activities, verify drawings and BOMs, and ensure compliance with customer specs and industry standards.
You will collaborate with global teams to drive successful project execution from concept through delivery, applying risk assessment and design verification to meet safety, reliability and performance targets.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
- Strong design experience in subsea wellhead systems or related equipment.
- Experience in technical leadership roles and design verification.
- Familiarity with API 5L/5CT/6A/17D and NACE MR0175.
- Ability to translate customer specs into practical designs.
Responsibilities
- Lead engineering design activities and ensure compliance with specs.
- Approve BOMs, drawings, and manufacturing procedures.
- Perform design verification and reliability assessments.
- Collaborate with customers, production, and project teams.
- Drive continuous improvement and cost-effective solutions.
- Provide technical leadership across projects.
