Job summary

GE Vernova is seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to design, analyse, and test mechanical systems for HVDC Valve products. You will collaborate with electrical, cooling, and compliance teams to ensure robust, compliant, and manufacturable solutions.

Qualifications

• Degree or proven track record in mechanical engineering and related activities.
• Experience with mechanical analysis and testing of electrical / mechanical equipment.
• Ability to work quickly and efficiently within an engineering team.

Responsibilities

• Design, analyse, and support testing of mechanical systems and structures for HVDC Valve products.
• Collaborate with electrical engineers, cooling engineers, and compliance experts to ensure robustness and manufacturability.
• Prepare documentation packages for tendering and project deliverables.
• Collaborate with third-parties for materials and parts data.
• Support design reviews and internal quality requirements.
• Work with manufacturing, site and quality teams to ensure DFM.
• Maintain accurate documentation of designs, test results and change orders.
• Be part of a dynamic team working on HVDC applications with global impact.
