Omega Resource Group in Fareham is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join a site-based team delivering mechanical solutions for aerospace projects. You will balance schedule, quality, and cost while adhering to company processes and standards.

You will mentor junior engineers, lead the mechanical team, manage requirements, and drive continuous improvement across the department. The role offers a competitive salary with bonus and clear progression opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Extensive leadership experience in mechanical engineering projects.
• Proven track record of managing projects from conception to completion.
• Strong understanding of engineering principles, processes and best practices.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with focus on quality and innovation.
• Strong communication and collaboration across teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop engineering solutions to meet project requirements within schedule, quality and cost constraints.
• Collaborate with internal and external customers, suppliers, and colleagues in mechanical, systems and hardware disciplines.
• Manage formal requirements for mechanical systems and demonstrate compliance through design descriptions and verification methods.
• Prepare work estimates and project plans, track progress, and adapt as projects develop.
• Mentor and develop apprentices, interns and engineers to grow department capacity and lead by example.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, including process improvements and tool enhancements.
