Job summary

Airbus Helicopters, Oxford site, is seeking a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to lead helicopter customisations from concept to manufacture. You will own technical quality, guide a small design team, and ensure compliance with customer, regulatory, and certification requirements.

You will manage system integration within Airbus products and drive design work packages, mentoring engineers and delivering high-precision 2D/3D models and PLM data.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent in Mechanical/Aerospace/Structural Engineering.
• Experience supervising a team of Mechanical Design engineers.
• Familiarity with design for certification and regulatory standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead design of modules and design teams to meet customer and regulatory requirements.
• Design checks (2D/3D/EBoMs) for technical accuracy before release.
• Coordinate design reviews and manage changes supporting manufacturing and certification.
• Mentor junior engineers and oversee PLM data in projects.
