Our client, a multi-disciplinary construction consultancy, is seeking an experienced Lead Mechanical Design Engineer to join their expanding team in Nottingham on a full-time, permanent basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to work as part of an experienced, professional, multi-disciplinary team. The successful candidate will join their Mechanical and Electrical Design team, leading project coordination and delivery, creating comprehensive designs, detailed drawings, and schematics using current software tools.

Remuneration:

• Salary: £45k - £55k (Guide only - DOE)

Requirements:

• Degree-level qualification or equivalent in a relevant field
• Professional registration with CIBSE and/or IET preferred
• Proficiency in REVIT software
• Experience in a similar Mechanical Design Engineer role within a consultancy environment in the built industry

Overview:

• Manage projects to ensure technical coordination meets targets
• Provide line management for the Mechanical team, supporting junior, intermediate, and senior engineers' growth
• Ensure compliance with legal and technical standards
• Deliver designs within project timelines and budgets
• Exhibit proficiency in mechanical building services design, understanding legislation and industry standards
• Exercise financial oversight, monitoring project expenditure
• Lead and mentor the Mechanical team
• Develop designs that meet client briefs in collaboration with other professionals
• Provide technical advice, maintaining quality standards
