Principal Mechanical Design Engineer (Water)
We are recruiting multiple Principal Mechanical Design Engineers (Water) for long-term frameworks across the UK, supporting major water projects.
RPS, alongside Tetra Tech, has secured a £100 million framework with United Utilities to enhance river health in Northwest England, marking an exciting phase in the water industry as we approach AMP8.
This 10-year framework involves program optimization, solution development, and selection based on value, carbon footprint, and cost, aiming to deliver resilient and eco-friendly water services.

You should have experience in producing technical specifications, designing pumping and aeration systems, and collaborating on design reviews. Strong communication skills, ability to deliver technical presentations, and understanding of water treatment processes are essential.
You will contribute to project lifecycle tasks, liaise with stakeholders, mentor junior staff, and ensure technical and safety standards are met.
Personal development plans, clear career pathways, inclusive culture, and flexible working arrangements.
We foster a collaborative, flexible, and diverse environment, now part of Tetra Tech, offering global opportunities and impactful projects.
