Job summary

Amentum is seeking a Mechanical Building Services Engineer to join the Ancillary Works Team for the Hinkley Point C project in the UK. You will oversee MEP design across external consultants and contractors, ensuring alignment with NNB requirements and staged delivery milestones.

The role involves coordinating design development from concept to construction, liaising with stakeholders, and applying QA processes to keep design activities on track.

Qualifications

• Experienced Mechanical Building Services engineer.
• Knowledge of building design, construction and commissioning.
• Familiarity with RIBA plan of work and CIBSE standards.
• Able to work with external consultants and contractors to meet NNB requirements.

Responsibilities

• Prepare technical specifications for consultants and contractors.
• Assist bidders with technical assessment.
• Coordinate with stakeholders across specification, procurement, design, construction and commissioning.
• Monitor subcontracted design activities with external support.
• Support design reviews during staged delivery.
• Analyse and resolve design issues raised by consultants and contractors.
• Manage design changes and non-conformances.
• Engage with NNB commissioning teams to ensure suitable proposals.
