Job summary

Mactech Inspection Ltd is recruiting a Mechanical Building Services Engineer to join the Ancillary Works Team at Hinkley Point C. You will oversee MEP designs by external consultants and contractors to ensure they meet NNB’s requirements. The buildings range from concept (RIBA2) to in construction (RIBA5).

Qualifications

• Experienced Mechanical Building Services engineer.
• Experience with building design and coordination of building projects.
• Knowledge of building design, construction and commissioning.
• Experience with RIBA plan of work and CIBSE.
• Accuracy, determination, diplomacy, results focussed.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality with sensitive information.
• Nuclear industry experience advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Assist in specifying new buildings and technical specifications.
• Support bidders' technical assessment and stakeholder liaison.
• Oversee design activities and interface with external consultants.
• Support design reviews during staged delivery.
• Analyse and resolve technical design issues with consultants.
• Manage design changes and non-conformances.
• Assist construction, installation and commissioning of building services.
• Engage with NNB commissioning teams to meet requirements.
• Apply QA processes and raise alerts when needed.
