Job summary

EDF HPC is seeking a Mechanical Building Services Engineer to join the Ancillary Works Team at Hinkley Point C. You will oversee MEP designs by external consultants and contractors to ensure compliance with NNB requirements.

The role covers design through commissioning across multiple buildings, with flexible home and office working supported. The candidate must have right to work in the UK and be prepared to operate within a nuclear project environment.

Qualifications

• Experience with RIBA plan of work and CIBSE guidance.
• Accurate, diplomatic, results-focused and confidential.
• Knowledge of building design, construction and commissioning in nuclear projects is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Support the specification for new buildings and prepare technical specifications for consultants and contractors.
• Contribute to bidders' technical assessment and liaise with stakeholders across procurement, design, construction and commissioning.
• Support the design of Building Services and surveillance of subcontracted design activities.
• Assist design reviews as part of staged delivery and resolve technical design issues with consultants and contractors.
