Job summary

EDF Energy Limited is seeking a Mechanical Building Services Engineer to join the Ancillary Works Team at Hinkley Point C. You will oversee MEP designs by external consultants and contractors to ensure compliance with NNB requirements and coordinate with stakeholders across procurement, design authority, engineering and commissioning.

Qualifications

• Experience with building design and coordination of building projects.
• Technical knowledge of building design, construction and commissioning.
• Knowledge of RIBA plan of work and CIBSE.
• Experience in nuclear industry advantageous but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Supporting the specification for new buildings.
• Supporting the preparation technical specifications for consultants and contractors.
• Contributing to the bidders' technical assessment.
• Liaising with stakeholders involved in design, procurement, construction and commissioning.
• Supporting the design of Building Services and surveillance of subcontracted design.
• Analysing and resolving technical design issues with consultants and contractors.
• Supporting construction, installation and commissioning activities.
