Job summary

Pleckgate High School is seeking a Lead Teacher of Mathematics to join on a full-time, permanent basis starting January 2027. The post includes a TLR 2B and a welcome bonus of £2,000. You will model excellence, drive standards, and lead department CPD within Education Partnership Trust.

You will lead school-wide numeracy development, analyse data to set targets, and coordinate interventions to secure good progress for all learners. An exciting leadership opportunity in a large, diverse community.

Qualifications

• QTS (or equivalent) and a relevant undergraduate degree with evidence of ongoing professional development.
• Outstanding results for GCSE mathematics groups at foundation and higher level and preferably other mathematical qualifications.
• Demonstrate outstanding teaching practice and excellent behaviour management.

Responsibilities

• Lead teaching of Mathematics and model high-quality practice for department.
• Contribute to raising pupil attainment and support intervention to drive progress.
• Lead the development of a whole-school numeracy strategy with Heads of Department.
• Analyse data to identify trends, track progress and set targets for improvement in numeracy.
• Oversee numeracy interventions in coordination with learning support and pastoral teams.
