Pleckgate High School seek to appoint a Teacher of Mathematics on a permanent contract from January 2027. Qualifications

• Strong mathematics subject knowledge and ability to plan engaging lessons.
• Ability to design learning opportunities that promote mathematical understanding.
• Good understanding of assessing pupil progress and adapting learning.”

• Passion for mathematics pedagogy and curriculum development.

Responsibilities

• Assist in development of syllabuses, resources, schemes of work and marking policies in mathematics.
• Contribute to the subject area’s Development Plan and implementation.
• Attend meetings and plan/prepare courses and lessons.
• Contribute to the Academy’s planning activities and ensure curriculum alignment with strategic objectives.
• Support the Subject Leader and ensure a varied teaching approach across the curriculum.
• Engage in personal development in subject knowledge and teaching methods.
• Communicate effectively with parents as appropriate.
