Job summary

Pleckgate High School invites applications for a Lead Teacher of Mathematics on a full-time, permanent contract to start January 2027. The successful candidate will receive a TLR 2B for leadership responsibilities and a welcome bonus of £2,000.

You will model outstanding teaching, raise pupil attainment, develop a numeracy strategy across the curriculum, and lead CPD while analysing data to set targets. You will coordinate numeracy interventions with Learning Support and Pastoral teams.

Qualifications

• Demonstrate outstanding teaching practice and strong behaviour management.
• Evidence of teaching excellence with GCSE maths results (foundation & higher).
• Knowledge of effective teaching and learning strategies for mathematics.

Responsibilities

• Model high-quality teaching and provide exemplars for colleagues.
• Contribute to raising pupil attainment in mathematics.
• Lead development of a whole-school numeracy strategy with Heads of Department.
• Analyse data to track progress and set improvement targets in numeracy.
• Coordinate numeracy interventions with Learning Support and Pastoral teams.
