Job summary

TDC Aberdeen Limited, a major player in the North of Scotland, is seeking a Lead/Senior Marine Electronics Engineer in Aberdeen. You will lead a team delivering service, installation and repair of marine electronics including radar and ECDIS, with responsibility for GMDSS surveys and VDR tests.

You will work onshore and offshore, ensuring compliance with international standards and providing high-level technical guidance to engineers, while accommodating occasional travel and flexible hours as

Qualifications

Significant experience with marine communication and navigation systems (Radar, Gyro, Marine Radio, ECDIS, VDR).
GMDSS GOC preferred.
HNC/HND or NVQ3 in Electronics preferred.
Full UK driving licence and valid passport required.

Responsibilities

Service, install and repair marine navigation and communications equipment across vessels and onshore.
Lead engineers, guide through fault finding and installation procedures.
Carry out GMDSS surveys and VDR annual performance testing when required.
Ensure installations meet international maritime standards.
Some weekend and out-of-hours work may be required; travel may be involved.
