Job summary

NHS Jobs invites applicants to join The Jarvis Breast Centre, Guildford, for a role as Advanced Practitioner in Mammography. The post involves work across the static unit and five mobile screening vans in Surrey, with a requirement to travel and drive across sites as needed.

You will screen, interpret and report mammograms, mentor trainees, participate in QA and MDT activities, and perform interventional procedures where appropriate, delivering high standards of patient care.

Qualifications

• Experience in NHS Breast Screening Programme (NHSBSP) protocols and quality assurance.
• Ability to mentor Post Graduate Radiographers and Associate practitioners in mammography.
• Competence in stereotactic guided interventional procedures and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Undertake screening mammograms to NHSBSP standards across static and mobile units.
• Assist in teaching and supervising radiography trainees.
• Participate in QA programmes and MDT discussions.
• Perform stereotactic core biopsies, localisations and related interventional duties.
• Provide high-level patient care and maintain confidentiality.
