Job summary

The Jarvis Breast Centre in Guildford is seeking an Advanced Practitioner to work within the NHS Breast Screening Programme across Surrey. The role focuses on screening and interventional mammography, including stereotactic biopsies, with reporting and trainee teaching.

You will rotate across the static unit and five mobile vans, requiring a full UK driving licence and travel between sites at least three days per week.

Qualifications

• One or both clinical modules: mammographic image interpretation and reporting, or X-ray guided interventional breast procedures.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel between sites at least three days a week.
• Experience with NHS Breast Screening Programme (NHSBSP) is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Undertake NHSBSP screening mammograms, including interventional imaging.
• Perform stereotactic guided interventional procedures and biopsies.
• Double report breast screening mammograms to meet national targets.
• Participate in film reading and reporting under protocols.
• Teach, supervise and mentor trainees in mammography.
