Job summary

Prysmian Group is seeking a Major Projects Construction / Project Manager to lead cable infrastructure projects within its Powergrids team in the United Kingdom. You will oversee planning, execution and resourcing, ensuring projects meet safety, budget and schedule targets.

The role requires proven leadership, hands-on knowledge of cable construction, and strong project-management capabilities to deliver complex projects for clients and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated leadership and team-motivation abilities.
• In-depth technical expertise in cable construction and infrastructure projects.
• Proven track record delivering projects on time and within budget.
• Experience managing subcontractors with a strong safety and quality focus.
• Strong problem solving and proactive risk management.
• Excellent communication with clients and senior leadership.

Responsibilities

• Lead tender pre-construction activities, verify SOW and DOR, and attend tender reviews.
• Oversee handover from tender to project execution and enforce safety standards.
• Support cost reporting and margin protection through active cost management.
• Resource planning and management of Project Engineers and Site Managers, including holidays and timesheets.
• Coordinate with Client representatives and project meetings to resolve issues.
