Job summary

EarthStream Global is seeking an experienced Cable Project Manager to lead 132kV cable infrastructure projects across the UK, from design through energisation. You will manage programmes, budgets and multidisciplinary teams while maintaining safety and quality standards.

The role requires strong client-facing skills and a proven track record delivering high-voltage cable projects under NEC contracts. A proactive leader will drive project success and stakeholder satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Proven HV cable project delivery experience at 66kV, 132kV, 275kV or 400kV.
• Experience working under NEC contracts.
• Strong understanding of transmission and distribution networks.
• Experience budgeting, scheduling and project performance management.

Responsibilities

• Lead HV/EHV cable projects from inception through to completion.
• Manage programmes, budgets, forecasts and resource requirements.
• Coordinate design, construction and commissioning functions across teams.
• Act as primary contact for clients and key stakeholders; provide progress reporting.

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Cable Project Manager to lead the delivery of 132kV cable infrastructure projects across the UK. The successful candidate will manage the full project lifecycle from design and planning through construction, testing, commissioning and energisation, ensuring delivery to programme, budget, safety and quality requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of HV/EHV cable projects from inception through to completion.
• Manage project programmes, budgets, forecasts and resource requirements.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams including design, commercial, construction and commissioning functions.
• Act as the primary point of contact for clients and key stakeholders.
• Oversee subcontractors, suppliers and specialist cable installation teams.
• Ensure compliance with CDM Regulations, industry standards and company procedures.
• Review and approve RAMS, project documentation and construction programmes.
• Manage project risks and implement mitigation strategies.
• Lead project meetings and provide regular progress reporting.
• Ensure successful testing, commissioning and energisation of cable systems.
• Maintain the highest standards of health, safety, environmental and quality performance.
• Support commercial management, change control and NEC contract administration.

Essential Requirements

• Proven experience delivering 66kV, 132kV, 275kV or 400kV cable infrastructure projects.
• Strong understanding of transmission and distribution networks.
• Experience managing cable route construction and installation activities.
• Knowledge of cable jointing, testing and commissioning processes.
• Experience working under NEC contracts.
• Strong stakeholder management and client-facing skills.
• Good understanding of CDM Regulations and UK Health & Safety legislation.
• Demonstrable experience managing budgets, schedules and project performance
