Qualifications

• Educated to degree level in a relevant Engineering subject and a member of an engineering professional institution.
• Previous experience within an engineering background, ideally with a knowledge of cable systems; civil engineering would be considered.
• Computer literate with a knowledge of AutoCAD, databases and spreadsheets.

Responsibilities

• Manage and develop the System Design, Installation Design and Cable Accessories engineering functions across transmission, distribution and renewable energy projects.
• Provide technical leadership and governance for transmission projects, ensuring designs comply with customer specifications, standards and Prysmian procedures.
• Act as the technical authority for cable system design, installation engineering and cable accessory applications; review and approve key deliverables and design decisions.
• Lead engineering resource planning and competency development for capability and succession planning.
• Support tendering and business development with technical leadership, risk assessment and innovative engineering solutions.
• Manage interfaces with customers, consultants, contractors, utilities and regulators to build long-term relationships and support business growth.
