Job summary

Scottish and Southern Electricity Networks is hiring a Low Voltage to High Voltage Lead Electrical Construction Fitter to join our Southern region team. Based in locations across our network, you’ll construct electrical apparatus within substations from 11kV up to 132kV and deliver projects in live environments.

Permanent, full-time with a 37-hour week. You will have a company vehicle, full PPE and tools, training to gain further authorisations, and overtime/travel time available.

Qualifications

Experience working in live electricity substation environments 11kV-132kV.
Able to read single line wiring diagrams and cable ferruling.
Experience with DC battery systems, panel wiring, CT/VT to kiosks and control panels.
Strong safety focus with CDM compliance.

Responsibilities

Construct electrical apparatus within substations on 11kV-132kV networks.
Ensure safe delivery of projects in live environments and respond to faults.
Install fixed relays and CT metering apparatus; commission equipment.
Represent SSE to customers to maintain world-class service and brand.
