Job summary

Scottish and Southern Electricity Networks is seeking a Low Voltage to High Voltage Lead Electrical Construction Fitter to join our team. Based across multiple locations in the Southern region including Melksham, you will construct electrical apparatus in substations from 11kV to 132kV while ensuring safety and high quality delivery.

You will install relays and CT metering gear, respond to faults, and represent SSE to customers while upholding the SSE brand.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of the electricity distribution network and experience of working in live electricity substation environments from 11kV - 132kV.
• Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams and cable ferruling.
• A clean driving licence and willingness to travel extensively across the network.

Responsibilities

• Construct electrical apparatus within substations on the distribution network from 11kV to 132kV.
• Deliver safe construction projects in live substation environments following safety rules and CDM regulations.
• Install fixed relays onto relay panels and install/commission CT metering equipment.
• Act as SSE ambassador with customers to deliver world-class service and protect the SSE brand.
