Job summary

ORONA in Glasgow is seeking an experienced Installation Engineer to join the installation team and deliver high-quality lift installations across regional sites. You will lead and mentor Installation Mates, Improvers, or Apprentices, while ensuring safety and compliance with EN-81 standards.

You will be responsible for the safe and efficient installation of hydraulic, traction and MRL lift systems, coordinating with Contract Managers and Site Managers to meet schedules and quality targets.

Qualifications

• NVQ level 3 in lift installation or equivalent required.
• LEIA Units for lift technology.
• SSSTS or equivalent for senior roles.
• CSCS certification or ability to obtain.
• Full UK driving licence required.

Responsibilities

• Review installation packs, specs, and drawings.
• Survey and set out lift shafts before installation.
• Install hydraulic, traction and MRL lift systems to standards.
• Supervise installation mates, improvers or apprentices.
• Ensure health, safety and environmental standards are followed.
• Manage van, tools, and equipment; complete site reports.
