Job summary

ORONA is seeking an experienced Installation Engineer to join the Glasgow installation team, delivering high-quality lift installations across regional sites. You will configure hydraulic, traction and MRL lift systems to spec, supervise apprentices and installers, and ensure work is safe, compliant and on schedule.

You will liaise with Contract Managers, Site Managers and clients, manage timescales and site reporting, maintain van and tools, and uphold PAS 32 standards with minimal defects.

Qualifications

• Experience installing hydraulic, traction, or MRL lifts.
• Experience supervising installation teams or apprentices.
• Strong knowledge of health and safety compliance.
• Ability to work to specifications and deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Review installation packs, specs and drawings; survey lift shafts.
• Install lift systems to company and manufacturer standards.
• Lead and develop Installation Mates, Improvers, or Apprentices.
• Ensure safety, PPE use and compliance on site.
• Complete timesheets, installation reports and communicate progress.

We are looking for an experienced Installation Engineer to join our Installation team in Glasgow, delivering high-quality lift installations across regional sites.

The Role

As a key member of the installation team, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient installation of new lift systems, ensuring projects are completed to specification, on time, and ready for testing.

You will work closely with Contract Managers, Site Managers, and clients, while also managing and developing Installation Mates, Improvers, or Apprentices.

Key Responsibilities

Pre-Installation Preparation

• Review installation packs, specifications, and engineering drawings
• Survey and set out lift shafts prior to installation
• Manage delivery checks and report shortages
• Build strong working relationships with site teams and clients

Lift Installation

• Install Orona’shydraulic, traction and MRL lift systemsto company and manufacturer standards
• Ensure lifts are installed to correct tolerances and ready for testing
• Deliver installations that meet PAS 32 standards with minimal defects

Team Leadership

• Supervise and developInstallation Mates, Improvers or Apprentices
• Provide coaching, guidance and performance feedback

Health, Safety & Compliance

• Ensure strict adherence toHealth, Safety and Environmental standards
• Enforce site safety rules and correct use of PPE

Operational Management

• Maintain company van, tools, and equipment
• Complete timesheets, job sheets and installation reports
• Communicate site progress, delays, and builder works to management
