Job summary

Orona is seeking an Installation Engineer to join the Sunbury installation team. You will deliver high-quality lift installations across regional sites, ensuring safety, compliance and timely project completion.

You will work with Contract Managers, Site Managers and clients, mentoring Installation Mates, Improvers or Apprentices. The role requires hands-on experience with hydraulic, MRL and traction lifts, knowledge of EN-81 regulations, and a commitment to safety and quality.

Qualifications

Knowledge of EN-81 regulations is essential.
Strong knowledge of lift wiring systems and electrical components.
Experience installing hydraulic, MRL and traction lift systems.
Experience leading installation teams or mentoring apprentices.

Responsibilities

Pre-Installation Preparation: review packs, specs and drawings; survey and set out shafts; manage deliveries and shortages; liaise with site teams and clients.
Lift Installation: install hydraulic, traction and MRL lifts to defined standards; ensure tolerances; prep for testing.
Team Leadership: supervise and develop Installation Mates, Improvers or Apprentices; provide coaching and feedback.
Health, Safety & Compliance: adhere to HSE standards; enforce PPE rules.
Operational Management: maintain van/tools; complete timesheets and installation reports; communicate progress to management.
