Job summary

Nexus Life Sciences in Liverpool is seeking a highly skilled MS Method Development Lead to drive the development and validation of LCMSMS bioanalytical methods under GxP standards. Qualifications

• Degree in Biochemistry, Biomedical Science, or related field.
• Minimum 4+ years in a GxP lab with 2+ years in management or leading a team.
• Experience in HPLC, UPLC, LCMSMS and chromatography data systems.
• Proven ability to develop, optimise, and validate analytical methods per GLP.
• Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting and analytical skills.
• Knowledge of protein precipitation, SPE, and Liquid-Liquid extraction techniques.

Responsibilities

• Lead method development and validation as subject matter expert.
• Optimise extraction, chromatography methods, and LC columns.
• Manage and mentor the Method Development & Validation team.
• Ensure GLP, SOPs and international guidelines are followed.
• Troubleshoot analytic methods and implement improvements.
• Oversee cost-effective lab operations and consumables spend.
• Write and approve Methods of Analysis and transfer validated methods to teams.
• Support regulatory submissions and respond to regulatory queries.
• Conduct investigations, implement CAPAs, and drive continuous improvement.
• Prepare and ensure adherence to GLP SOPs; lead staff meetings and development sessions.
