Job summary

Capgemini is seeking a Lead Java Full Stack Developer to design, develop, test, and deploy scalable enterprise applications across frontend and backend platforms in a hybrid London-based setup.

You will lead frontend work with HTML/CSS/JavaScript/React/Redux/Jest and backend services with Java, Spring Boot, and REST APIs. Emphasis on TDD, CI/CD, and Agile delivery for high-quality software.

Qualifications

  • Experience building scalable enterprise applications in an Agile environment.
  • Strong frontend and backend development capabilities with React and Java Spring Boot.
  • Test-driven development and automated testing with JUnit/Mockito/Cucumber/Selenium.

Responsibilities

  • Lead development of responsive web applications using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React.js, Redux, Node.js, and Jest.
  • Design and develop backend microservices using Java, Spring Boot, JPA, Hibernate, REST APIs, and Microservices architecture.
  • Ensure code quality with TDD and automated tests (JUnit/Mockito/Cucumber/Selenium).
  • Work with SQL databases and optimize queries (MS SQL preferred).
  • Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated builds, tests, and deployments.

About the Job you are considering:

We are seeking a Lead Java Full Stack Developer with strong experience in building scalable enterprise applications across frontend and backend technologies The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing developing testing and deploying high quality solutions in an Agile environment

Hybrid working:

The places that you work from day to day will vary according to your role, your needs, and those of the business; it will be a blend of Company offices, client sites, and your home; noting that you will be unable to work at home 100% of the time.

Your Role:
  • Lead the development of responsive web applications using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React.js, Redux, Node.js, and Jest.
  • Design and develop backend microservices using Java, Spring Boot, JPA, Hibernate, REST APIs, and Microservices architecture.
  • Ensure code quality through TDD practices, writing unit and integration tests using JUnit, Mockito, Cucumber, and Selenium.
  • Work with SQL databases (MS SQL Server preferred) and optimize database performance and queries.
  • Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated build, testing, and deployment processes.
Your Skills:
  • Strong expertise in HTML CSS JavaScript React JS Redux Nodejs and Jest
  • Extensive experience with Java Spring Boot JPA Hibernate REST APIs Microservices JUnit and Mockito
  • Good knowledge of SQL MS SQL preferred cloud platforms and messaging technologies
  • Handson experience with Jira Confluence Bitbucket GitLab Nexus SonarQube Veracode Maven and NPM
  • Strong understanding of TestDriven Development TDD CICD pipelines and automated testing tools such as Cucumber and Selenium
  • Experience working in AgileScrum teams participating in design development testing and deployment activities
