Job summary

Capgemini is seeking a Java Developer to join the Financial Services unit within its Cloud & C&CA practice. You will help design, develop, and evolve scalable backend services, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality solutions and AI-enabled approaches.

The role involves a hybrid working model with a mix of Capgemini offices, client sites, and home working, tailored to the role and business needs. 12-month FTC with opportunities for learning and growth.

Qualifications

• Strong experience delivering enterprise application development using Java.

Your Role

Your Skills

• Strong experience delivering enterprise application development using Java.
• Solid understanding of object-oriented design principles, software engineering best practices, and design patterns.
• Experience developing scalable, secure, and maintainable backend solutions.
• Strong knowledge of multithreading, concurrency management, exception handling, and application performance optimisation.
• Experience designing and implementing microservices-based solutions.
• Expertise in API design, development, integration, and security principles.
• Experience building resilient and fault-tolerant distributed systems.
• Strong understanding of software testing practices, including unit and integration testing.
• Ability to participate effectively in architecture discussions, code reviews, and agile delivery teams.
• Strong problem-solving, stakeholder collaboration, and communication skills.
• Awareness of AI-enabled engineering practices and a commitment to continuous learning and professional growth.
