Job summary

Nixor Resource Consulting Ltd is seeking a Lead Java Developer for a greenfield platform in Alderley Park / Wilmslow (Hybrid - 50% office based). You'll provide technical leadership while coding, with around 80% of the role focused on development.

The role includes shaping design and architecture, driving engineering best practices and mentoring other developers. Tech stack includes Java, Spring, REST APIs, Microservices, Kafka, Kubernetes, Docker, Azure and MongoDB/NoSQL, with strong emphasis

Qualifications

Strong enterprise Java and Spring experience.
Experience designing and building large-scale microservices.
Experience with cloud-native/containerised environments.
Strong engineering fundamentals, including TDD and automated testing.
Experience mentoring developers and providing technical leadership.

Responsibilities

Provide technical leadership within an engineering squad while remaining heavily hands-on.
Shape technical design and architecture, drive engineering best practice and coach and mentor other developers.
Operate at Lead level with no formal line management responsibility.
Work with Java, Spring, REST APIs, Microservices, Kafka, Kubernetes, Docker, Azure and MongoDB/NoSQL, with focus on automated testing.
