Job summary

Morson Human Resources Limited is seeking a Lead Java Developer for a 12-month engagement. You will be a technical role model, leading design, development and support of complex software products and defining medium-to-long term engineering guidelines across teams.

You will champion best practices, drive architecture collaboration and manage risks while delivering scalable solutions. The role is hybrid with 60% on-site in Manchester, Leeds or Birmingham and is Inside IR35.

Qualifications

• Strong experience delivering Java-based systems at scale.
• Experience with microservices architectures and API design.
• Proven ability to lead and mentor software engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development and support of complex software products.
• Define medium-to-long term engineering guidelines across teams.
• Champion best practices, and drive architecture decisions with stakeholders.
• Manage risks and ensure on-time delivery of high-quality software.
• Collaborate with Architecture to align strategy and execution.
• Provide 3rd line support and coach engineers.
