Job summary

Clarify Consultancy Ltd is seeking a Senior Java Developer to join a Lancashire-based hybrid tech team. You will design, develop and maintain high-quality Java applications and services, focusing on scalable microservices and REST APIs within modern cloud environments.

You will work closely with architects, leads and stakeholders, delivering robust software and contributing to solution design, testing and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience with Java and Spring Boot in enterprise-scale software.
• Proven ability to design and develop microservices architectures.
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs, messaging and data stores such as MongoDB/Kafka.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain high-quality Java applications and services.
• Develop scalable, robust microservices and REST APIs.
• Contribute to solution architecture and technical design.
• Participate in peer code reviews and Agile ceremonies.
• Write automated unit and integration tests (JUnit/Mockito).
• Work with Docker and Kubernetes in cloud environments.
• Collaborate with Product, Architecture, and other teams to deliver solutions.
• Mentor less experienced developers and share knowledge.
